Bill GlissonMusic is an important part of the Lutheran tradition and worship service. This is certainly true at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. From the organ preludes and postludes, to the singing of the liturgy and hymns, to the anthems provided by the choirs, music is vital to Lutheran praise and worship.

St. Matthew’s Music Program provides an opportunity for people of all ages to make a “joyful noise” and praise the Lord through vocal and instrumental anthems during worship services and concerts.

St. Matthew’s Music Program is doubly blessed to be under the guidance and direction of Bill Glisson, our organist!

St. Matthew’s is very proud of its choirs. There is a choir or musical group for all ages and musical preferences. St. Matthew’s has the following Choirs, Ensembles, & Instrumental Groups:

  • Adult Choir
  • Handbell Choir
  • Tone Chime Choir
  • Luther Choir
  • Contemporary Service Musicians: The Joyful Noise Ensemble
  • Instrumental Ensemble (HS and up)

Tuesday Music Practice Schedule

6 pm Instrumental Ensemble (Adult Choir Room)

6 pm Joyful Noise (Tuesdays before 2nd & 4th Sundays)


Wednesday Music Practice Schedule

5-5:25 pm Little Luther Choir (PK4-1st grade)

5:25-5:55 pm Luther Choir (2nd-5th grade)

6-6:45 pm Adult Handbell Choir

7-8:30 pm Adult Choir
