Funeral of Jim Harshbarger – Thursday, February 3, at 1 p.m.

Our dear brother, Jim Harshbarger, 95, departed this life from the Lower Caper Fear Hospice Life Center on Monday, January 31, after a lengthy bout with dementia. He had fallen and broken his hip last week. Jim was preceded in death by his dear wife, Mabel, in 2008. After moving here from central Pennsylvania to be close to their son, John, and his family, Jim and Mabel were mainstays for many years at the Saturday night Eucharist, gatherings at Crazy’s Pizza, the Jolly Elders (OWLS), and the monthly birthday group at Bluewater.

We will give God thanks and praise for Jim’s life on Thursday, February 3, at 1 p.m. in the parish church. Visitation with the family will begin in the narthex at 12 noon. Burial at Oleander Gardens will follow the funeral.

Rest eternal grant Jim, O Lord, and let Light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.
