Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist

October 10, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Dr. Samuel David Zumwalt, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Shares” (Hebrews 3:12-19).

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday: “Come We That Love the Lord” (Entrance); “All for Christ I Have Forsaken” (Hymn of the Day); “O God, Our Help in Ages Past” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Son of God, Eternal Savior,” “We Come to the Hungry Feast,” and “We Are Called.” The color for Sunday is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. You are invited to wear green to worship.

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s Saturday organ prelude is “All for Christ I Have Forsaken” (Rowland-Raybold); The Adult Handbell Choir plays “Just as I Am” (Geschke) at the 11 a.m. offering. Bill Glisson’s organ postlude is “Toccata on St. Anne.”
