Saturday Night Eucharist

April 24, 2021

We welcome you in Jesus’ name to worship with us at our Saturday 6 PM Eucharist on Good Shepherd Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Pastor Samuel Zumwalt, STS, preaches “The Word of God: Our Shepherd” based on 1 John 3:16-24. We also give thanks in the prayers for the witness of St. Mark the Evangelist. From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Greg Gore leads the singing of joyous hymns: “There’s A Wideness in God’s Mercy” (Saturday Entrance, BEECHER tune); “The King of Love, My Shepherd Is” (Hymn of the Day); “Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us” (Recessional). The color of the day is white for the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection.

Special music includes: “The King of Love” (Lasky) is Greg’s Saturday organ prelude; “Aria” (Haydn) is Greg’s Saturday offering; Toccata in F Major (Buxtehude) is Greg’s Saturday postlude.
