Saturday Night Eucharist

May 29, 2021

We welcome you in Jesus’ name to celebrate with us on the Feast of the Holy Trinity, at our Saturday Night Eucharist. Pastor Carl Voges, STS, preaches a sermon based on John 20:19-23. From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads: “Thy Strong Word” (Entrance); “Alleluia! Let Praises Ring” (Hymn of the Day); “Holy, Holy, Holy” (Recessional). You are invited to wear white to worship this weekend. The color of the day is white for the purity of the Holy Trinity.

Special music includes: “Song for All the Saints’” (McDonald) is Bill Glisson’s organ prelude; “Holy, Holy, Holy” (Kerr) is Bill’s Saturday offering; “Now Thank We All Our God” (J.S. Bach/Virgil Fox arrangement) is Bill’s postlude.

The Recognition of Ordination Anniversaries for seven pastors will be celebrated on the Feast of the Holy Trinity at the 11 a.m. Eucharist. These six pastors represent 298 years of service to Christ and His Church: Marvin Schedler (60 years); Joel Kettner (56 years); Peter Hoyer (50 years); Michael Bergbower (48 years); Robert Kuppler (44 years); Samuel Zumwalt (40 years). Pastor Carl Voges, STS, (54 years) of Columbia, SC, will be our guest preacher. The Fellowship Team will host a reception following the 11 a.m. service.
