Saturday Night Eucharist

November 6, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 6 PM Saturday Night Eucharist on the Feast of All Saints. The Rev’d. Dr. Samuel David Zumwalt, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Purifies” (1 John 3:1-3). There will be a full procession of crucifer, torches, adult choir, processional Bible, and clergy during the Entrance Hymn.

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Saturday at 6 p.m: “For All the Saints” (Entrance and Sequence); “Jesus Sat with His Disciples” (Hymn of the Day); “Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In” (Recessional). The color for Sunday is white signifying the joy and purity of eternal life with God. You are invited to wear white to worship (even though it is past Labor Day).

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude is “Jesus Sat with His Disciples” (Sedio). Bill’s Saturday offering “Shall We Gather at the River” (Shaw); Bill’s organ postlude is “Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In” (Nelson).
