Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist

April 25, 2021

We welcome you in Jesus’ name to worship with us at our Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist on Good Shepherd Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Pastor Samuel Zumwalt, STS, preaches “The Word of God: Our Shepherd” based on 1 John 3:16-24. We also give thanks in the prayers for the witness of St. Mark the Evangelist. From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the singing of joyous hymns “The Lord’s My Shepherd” (Entrance); “The King of Love, My Shepherd Is” (Hymn of the Day); “Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “You Satisfy the Hungry Heart”, “I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb,” and “There’s A Wideness in God’s Mercy.” The color of the day is white for the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection.

Special music includes: “Brother James’ Air” (Weber) the prelude; “I Know That My Redeemer Liveth” (Martin) is the Adult Choir anthem at the 11 a.m. offering; “Good Christian Friends, Rejoice and Sing” (Burkhardt) the organ postlude.
