WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Baptism: Conclusion of the Commandments” (Luther’s Large Catechism on the Conclusion of the Commandments and Hebrews 13:1-17). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. To prepare for the sermon, please review Martin Luther’s explanation of the conclusion of the commandments here: https://bookofconcord.org/large-catechism/ Rally Day Bibles are presented at 9:45 a.m. with a Blessing of the Backpacks. A potluck lunch follows at 12:30 p.m.

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the traditional Eucharists on Sunday in the singing of joyous hymns: “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” (Entrance); “You Satisfy the Hungry Heart” (Hymn of the Day); “We Are Marching in the Light of God” (11am Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Come, Let Us Eat”; “Lord of Glory, You Have Bought Us”; and “What a Fellowship (Leaning on the Everlasting Arms).”

Special music for the weekend includes: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude “BICENTENNIAL” (Honore); The Adult Choir sings at the 11 a.m. Sunday offering, “What a Fellowship” (Martin); and Bill’s organ postlude “Rondeau” (Mouret).
