Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist

July 10, 2022

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Baptism: The 4th Commandment” (Luther’s Large Catechism on the Fourth Commandment and Colossians 1:1-14). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. To prepare for the sermon, please review Martin Luther’s explanation of the 4th commandment here: https://bookofconcord.org/large-catechism/

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the traditional Eucharist on Sunday in the singing of joyous hymns: “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” (Entrance); “May We Thy Precepts, Lord, Fulfill” (Hymn of the Day); “O Christ, Your Heart Compassionate” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “O Blest the House”; and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”

Special music for the weekend includes: Bill Glisson’s prelude “O Christ, Your Heart Compassionate” (Limbaugh); Annie Jewell plays “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” (DeRousse) for the Sunday offering; Bill’s organ postlude, “Hymn to Joy” (Manz).
