Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist

November 7, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Feast of All Saints. The Rev’d. Dr. Samuel David Zumwalt, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Purifies” (1 John 3:1-3). Cailynn Diana Boyer, daughter of Tracy and Eddie, will be baptized at the beginning of the 11 a.m. Eucharist (in place of the Rite of Confession) before the processional hymn. There will be a full procession of crucifer, torches, adult choir, processional Bible, and clergy during the Entrance Hymn.

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday: “For All the Saints” (Entrance and Sequence); “Jesus Sat with His Disciples” (Hymn of the Day); “Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Shall We Gather at the River,” “Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones,” and “Behold A Host Arrayed in White.” The color for Sunday is white signifying the joy and purity of eternal life with God. You are invited to wear white to worship (even though it is past Labor Day).

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude is “Jesus Sat with His Disciples” (Sedio). The Adult Choir sings “I’ll Fly Away” (Brumley) for Sunday’s offering; Bill’s organ postlude is “Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In” (Nelson).
