Sunday 11:00 AM Eucharist

September 11, 2022

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Baptism: Strengthens” (1 Timothy 1:12-17). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. We remember the victims of the 911 Terrorist Attacks and their families.

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the traditional Eucharists on Sunday in the singing of joyous hymns: “You Servants of God” (Entrance); “There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy [BEECHER]” (Hymn of the Day); “God of Our Fathers” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb”; “Softly and Tenderly, Jesus I Calling”; and “The King of Love, My Shepherd Is.”

Special music for the weekend includes: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude “Adagio for Strings” (Barber); The Adult Bell Choir plays at the 11 a.m. Sunday offering, “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” (Sherman); and Bill’s organ postlude “Prelude to a Te Deum” (Charpentier).
