September 26, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost, September 26, 2021. The Rev’d. Dr. Samuel David Zumwalt, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Heals” (James 5:13-20).

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday: “My God, How Wonderful Thou Art” (Entrance); “Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling” (Hymn of the Day); “God of Grace and God of Glory” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Let Us Break Bread Together,” “Jesus, Lead Thou On,” and “Thy Holy Wings.” The color for Sunday is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. You are invited to wear green to worship.

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude is “Softly and Tenderly” (Powell); the Adult Choir sings “A New Heart” (Dunphy) at the 11 a.m. offering; Bill Glisson’s organ postlude is “Psalm XX: Homage to Benedetto Marcello” (Young).
