November 6, 2022
WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Feast of All Saints. The Rev’d. Fr. Carl Andrew Voges preaches, “Holy Baptism: Eyes Opened” (Ephesians 1:11-23). The color of the day is white signifying the joy and purity of God’s eternal life and love. Brennan Swidorski and Layla Duff will receive their First Communion, and Belinda Taft will be received into membership at the 11 a.m. Eucharist on Sunday, November 6.
In the Prayers of the Bride of Christ, we remember our dearest ones who have died since last All Saints’ Sunday: David Brehm; Harry Comeskey; Frank Fauser; Jim Harshbarger; Joanne Johnson; Jack Loflin; Colleen Burns Kelbey; Elaine Mattes; Betsy Miller; Maureen Richey; Elliott Sifford; Jerry Stricker; Marlene Thomas; Rachel Thompson; Marilyn Wilson; & Gary Zenz.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the traditional Eucharists on Sunday in the singing of joyous hymns: “Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones” (Entrance); “For All the Saints” (Sequence Hymn); “When the Saints Go Marching In” (Sunday Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Shall We Gather at the River”; “We Sing for All the Unsung Saints”; and “Blest Are They.”
Special music for the weekend includes: Bill Glisson’s Sunday organ prelude “For All the Saints” (Hobby); Bill’s 8:30 a.m. offering, “Hanson Place” (Young); Bill’s organ postlude “O When the Saints” [Nelson].
