Sunday 8:30 AM Eucharist

October 3, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Dr. Samuel David Zumwalt, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Sanctifies” (Hebrews 2:1-13).

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday: “From All That Dwell Below the Sky” (Entrance); “God’s Own Child I Gladly Say It” (Hymn of the Day); “How Great Thou Art” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus,” “Oh, Blest the House,” and “Our Father, By Whose Name.” The color for Sunday is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. You are invited to wear green to worship.

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude is “Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus” (Manz); the Adult Choir sings “Mighty Are Your Works, O God” (Hopson) at the 8:30 a.m. offering; Bill Glisson’s organ postlude is “How Great Thou Art” (Bock).
