Sunday 8:30 AM Eucharist

October 31, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Reformation of the Church. The Rev’d. Carl Andrew Voges, STS, preaches the sermon, “The Word of God: Deepens” (John 8:31-38).

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday: “A Mighty Fortress” (Entrance); “Thy Strong Word” (Hymn of the Day); “Built on the Rock” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Thy Word,” “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness,” and “The Church’s One Foundation.” The color for Sunday is red signifying the fire of the Holy Spirit. You are invited to wear red to worship.

Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude is “Partita on EBENEZER” (Culli). A quartet (Emily Burke; Gina Martuscelli; Joe Huppmann; Kevin Ulisnik) sings “Blessed Assurance” (Raney) at the 8:30 offering; Bill’s organ postlude is “Toccata on EBENEZER.”
