Sunday Contemporary 8:30 AM Eucharist

January 24, 2021

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! and Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Contemporary Eucharist. On this Third Sunday after Epiphany. Paul reminds us of the impermanence of this life with its earthly joys and sorrows. Because this world is passing away, Christians ought never to let its good things to replace the one thing needful… the grace and mercy of God in Jesus Christ. Therefore, the Lord’s call to discipleship is always to a cross-shaped life in this world and onward to the endless joy of the life to come. Father Peter Hoyer is our guest preacher and presider this weekend while Pastor Zumwalt enjoys his remaining vacation week from 2020, the year of the coronavirus

Joyful Noise leads the 8:30 a.m. Eucharist in the singing of joyous hymns and spiritual songs: “We Are Called”; “In the Morning When I Rise”; “O Christ Who Called the Twelve”; “We are Marching in the Light of God.” Joyful Noise sings, “Humble Thyself/Awesome God” at the 8:30 offering.
