August 28, 2022

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Contemporary Eucharist on the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Baptism: Conclusion of the Commandments” (Luther’s Large Catechism on the Conclusion of the Commandments and Hebrews 13:1-17). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. To prepare for the sermon, please review Martin Luther’s explanation of the conclusion of the commandments here: Rally Day Bibles are presented at 9:45 a.m. with a Blessing of the Backpacks. A potluck lunch follows at 12:30 p.m.

The Joyful Noise Ensemble leads the 8:30 a.m. Eucharist in the singing of joyous hymns and spiritual songs: Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing; You Satisfy the Hungry Heart; Come, Let Us Eat; and What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine.

Special music for the weekend includes: The Joyful Noise Ensemble sings “Master Designer” (Kaiser) for the 8:30 a.m. Sunday offering.
