Saturday Night Eucharist

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 6:00 PM Saturday Night Eucharist on Fifth Sunday after Epiphany. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Communion: Holy Guide” (Isaiah 58:1-12). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. The Sundays after Epiphany are not a season but are known as ordinary time, from the Latin “ordinalis” for number.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the singing of joyous hymns: “Holy Spirit, Truth Divine” (Saturday Entrance); “I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light” (Hymn of the Day); “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” (Recessional).
Special music for the weekend includes Bill Glisson’s prelude, “I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light” (Pelz); Bill’s Saturday offering, “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness” (Rotermund); and Bill’s postlude, “This Little Light of Mine” (Childs).
