Saturday Night Eucharist

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 6:00 PM Saturday Night Eucharist on the Second Sunday after Epiphany. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Communion: Holy Redeemer” (Isaiah 49:1-7). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. The Sundays after Epiphany are not a season but are known as ordinary time, from the Latin “ordinalis” for number.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the singing of joyous hymns: “You Servants of God” (Entrance); “Listen, You Nations” (LBW Canticle #14) as the psalmody; “Christ is the World’s Redeemer” (Hymn of the Day sung to the tune of “O Day of Rest and Gladness”); “I Lay My Sins on Jesus” (Recessional).
Special music for traditional worship includes: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude, “Christ Is the World’s Redeemer” (Kerr); Bill plays “My Faith Looks Up to Thee” (Pelz) at the Saturday offering; Bill’s postlude, “Rise, Shine You People” (Culli).
