WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist on the Second Sunday after Epiphany. The Rev’d. Fr. Samuel David Zumwalt preaches, “Holy Communion: Holy Redeemer” (Isaiah 49:1-7). The color of the day is green signifying growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. The Sundays after Epiphany are not a season but are known as ordinary time, from the Latin “ordinalis” for number.

From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads on Sunday in the singing of joyous hymns: “You Servants of God” (Entrance); “Listen, You Nations” (LBW Canticle #14) as the psalmody; “Christ is the World’s Redeemer” (Hymn of the Day sung to the tune of “O Day of Rest and Gladness”); and “Rise, Shine You People” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “I Lay My Sins on Jesus”; “Lamb of God” (Twila Paris); “My Faith Looks Up to Thee.”

Special music for traditional worship includes: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude, “Christ Is the World’s Redeemer” (Kerr); Bill Glisson (piano) and Annie Jewell (violin) will play “God Will Take Care of You” (DeRousse) at the 11 a.m. offering. Bill’s postlude, “Rise, Shine You People” (Culli).
